Christmas time

These pictures are all over the place in order. My apologies. Anyhow, we had a joyful Christmas, as Opal and Iris are both fully aware of the magic of the season now. They were so excited even to find a toothbrush in their stockings! Here is Opal opening her gift from Gaga, her beloved American Girl doll. She didn't even know these existed until the catalog came in the mail - and who knows how they got our address. Beware mothers and fathers of catalogs!

I love to use natural materials for seasonal decorations. They are so beautiful to me.

In spite of all the arguments and spats, Opal and Iris really have been getting along beautifully. There is a sweet sweet love between them, in their play and their affection for each other. Iris still looks to Opal for many things, but Opal will tell Iris that she is her "best friend in the whole world." They talk about how they are going to live together when they get older. It is lovely to see their sisterly love grow and so nice for them to have this companionship. It makes up for all of the cat fights!
