Camping at Lane Spring, near Rolla

On Labor Day weekend, we took off for a 3 night camping trip. We didn't know if we'd make it all three nights, but the girls were doing great, the weather was terrific, and the spot was gorgeous, so we decided to stay. Ashley, Weyan, Logan, Lexi, and Lydia came with us for the first two nights. We had a great time enjoying each other and the beautiful area near Rolla, visiting springs, an artesian well, creeks, and forests. This picture above was taken on our own little private beach just off a small trail from our campsite along the Little Piney Creek, which was crystal clear and full of wildlife.

John caught this Rough Green Snake just after I almost stepped on him. The girls each touched his beautiful smooth skin.

Iris had her life jacket on in Mill Creek and she sat right down in the water and floated on her back for about 20 yards - into the arms of Daddy.
