Some July photos

Here are the squash plants and a few peppers above. Opal likes to look for zucchini deep down in the leaves.

Here are the tomato plants with squash in the foreground. John just did a major weeding in the garden - he got out there with lots of machinery and it looks much better. So far we have harvested onions, potatoes, snap peas, green beans, kale, chard, lettuce, a little broccoli, zucchini, yellow squash, and tomatoes. It has been quite fun and I already have a list of lessons learned for next year.

4th of July! We attended the Burnam family picnic once again - this was our 4th year in a row. Opal loved setting off the little fireworks like poppers that you throw on the ground and sparklers. She is still a bit afraid of the loud ones. And Iris was deathly afraid of the loud ones.

Gamere, John's Grandmother, came in to Columbia to visit. Opal was not a happy camper about getting a photo here. The photos before this one are grumptacular.
