Grandma Gaga's Visit

We were very lucky to have my mom visit for the week of Christmas. Opal loves Gaga and was very attached to her for the week. My mom helped out a lot around the house and watched Opal for John and I numerous times. She let us get away for a night for our anniversary (4 big years) and she played lots of pretend and memory. Opal really likes her memory game that Gaga bought her. Opal also really loves to pretend that she is Cinderella. Above she is a little fairy. What a girly girl she has turned out to be. She loves shoes and the color pink. Sometimes it gets a bit tiresome, but that's what she likes. It was definitely not forced upon her by any means. We have gotten a break from some of the girlyness lately because we have been telling the story of Jack and the Beanstalk. Now Opal really likes Jack and will not respond to you if you call her Opal. She is Jack. Jack on the beanstalk. And she has the goose that lays the golden eggs and the harp that plays itself, though sometimes she calls the harp the harmonica, because she has actually seen one of those.

This was Gaga's last day with Opal. Opal was very huggy and sweet.
