Photo of the Month

The local photo lab where I get my film developed chooses a "photo of the month" and yesterday when I opened the envelope of my pictures I saw a blue ribbon on this photo. I told John that this obviously means I should start getting really involved in photography.

This is actually Opal's smile. She has resorted only to closing her eyes when asked to smile, her way of saying, "Enough of this picture business, Mom."
