From summer to winter

It is now cold in Missouri. We have had a few freezes, the garden is done, and we've worn hats already. hat wearing always = cold.

I just finished another term of school and have some time to catch up with life.

Update on the car/veggie oil thing: Everytime John comes home after having researched the veggie oil conversion he says, "Nicole, this is really complicated. Really complicated." Nonetheless we are following through. The Frybrid kit is ordered and should arrive in a few weeks. I think we will convert it around Thanksgiving time. In the meantime, you can purchase B20 Biodiesel at the pump in MO, so we have been running the benz on biodiesel, which is somewhat of a guilt-lifter for having 2 cars.

These photos are a hodgepodge. The bottom photo is Opal's new grumpy face. We laughed when she first debued it, so now she does it all the time. The other pics are from just 2 days ago, when Kartik and Alli visited us on their way from Portland to D.C. We went on a walk on the Katy Trail - a rails to trails greenway that stretches across MO - and these are some of the photos from our outing.
